Dr. Matthew Rainwater grew up here in Fresno, California. He attended Bullard High School where he was All League and All Valley in soccer and golf. He then went to Omaha, Nebraska for undergraduate and graduate school. After finishing, he returned to the Central Valley and joined his father's practice at Valley Urology. Dr. Rainwater is doing General Practice with special focus on Men's Health.
His mission is to provide high-quality care that is personalized to each individual patient. As Dr. Rainwater grew up surrounded by the world of Urology, he does have a special interest in Men’s Health and Clinical Urology, which makes him a great new addition to Valley Urology.
Additionally, being a General Practitioner allows Dr. Rainwater to broaden his practice and help patients live a healthier life.
In his free time, Dr. Rainwater likes to do remodeling projects and he tries to get out to the golf course whenever possible. He also enjoys spending his extra time with his wife and the newest addition to his family, his son, Wesley.
Newborn circumcision is optimally performed in the first 30 days after birth and up to 3 months of age. For newborn circumcision, your son will lie on his back with his arms and legs restrained. After the penis and surrounding area are cleansed, an anesthetic will be injected into the base of the penis or applied to the penis as a cream. A plastic ring will be attached to the penis, and the foreskin will be removed.
Afterward, the penis will be covered with an ointment, such as a topical antibiotic or petroleum jelly, and wrapped loosely with gauze. The procedure generally takes about 10-20 minutes.
A Vasectomy is a simple surgical procedure that is performed in order to cause permanent sterilization for men. Valley Urology has performed more vasectomies than any other office in the Central Valley. At Valley Urology, we typically perform the procedure as a single incision vasectomy. For most patients, this is typically performed in the office.
For men, having low testosterone can result in a multitude of symptoms including: fatigue (feeling more tired and run down), low sex drive, issues with erections, trouble losing weight or gaining muscle, and a lower mood.
If you have low testosterone, we have options to help you. There are topical gels, injections and testopel pellets that can be utilized to give that testosterone back to you. We will discuss the options and will work to personalize the regimen to one that works best for you.
